Netanya is about an hour and a half from Modiin -great for a day trip or a relaxing overnight. The Mediterranean Sea is a delight and there are several of our favorite restaurants along the Tayelet. We usually get a hotel room with a sea view and that means we can enjoy the sights and sounds from the balcony.
The aromas are delightful from the food stalls in the Shuk. It is casual eating when you are on the go-grab the closest free table and then send someone to order the food. You can have so many different kinds of meals in the Shuk that it is a paradise for Foodies. Then you can shop for the ingredients you need to make the meal at home.
Growing up with the Biblical Stories, I never imagined that I would one day visit the very same places. It is always an awesome experience to see the same geographical landsapes as our Ancestors, to breathe in the same air and to look at the surroundings as if I had actually been with them on their journey. Who would have thought that a lovely, cruise on the Red Sea would bring you a glimpse of Egypt, Jordan and Saudi Arabia, but it does. Enjoy this holiday experience with me.
